What is the loyalty program for Iberia?

Iberia Plus is the loyalty program for Iberia, which gives members unique benefits. Use your card when you book Iberia flights to accumulate Avios, which can be used to redeem flights and leisure experiences. There are six tiers within the Iberia Plus programme, including Clásica, Plata, Oro, Platino, Infinita and Infinita Prime. Depending on your tier, you can receive priority boarding, VIP parking at selected airports, free upgrades, limousine transfers in selected cities and access to exclusive lounges around the world. Iberia Plus members also receive oneworld benefits, according to the corresponding tier. If you are travelling with kids under 12 years old, sign up for Iberia Plus Kids to accrue points for every Iberia flight.

How much luggage can you carry on Iberia?

The standard size of checked luggage with your Iberia reservation is 23kg. You will need to pay for overweight luggage up to 32kg. The number of pieces of luggage depends on where you’re travelling to and the class you’re flying. Economy Class passengers can usually bring one piece of checked luggage, one carry-on bag and one personal item. Business Class travellers are permitted to fly with two pieces of checked luggage. Iberia Plus members can bring an additional piece of luggage or travel with overweight luggage for no extra fee, depending on the tier. Special luggage such as sports equipment and instruments can brought on your Iberia flight, as long as they remain under the weight limit. If you are departing from London, bags more than 190cm in length are not permitted.

Can I fly with a pet on Iberia?

To travel with a service animal, you need to request permission at least 48 hours before your flight. Passengers can take an assistance dog onboard Iberia flights free of charge. However, if your service dog is too big, you may need to buy an extra seat, book a less busy flight or place it in the hold. For flights to and from London, pets are not permitted in the cabin or in the hold. However, your pet is permitted to travel as cargo. Speak with a freight agent to organise transport. For other destinations, pets such as dogs, cats, fish, turtles and birds that weigh less than 8kg are accepted in the cabin. The travel carrier should be ventilated with a waterproof floor and your pet must remain inside the travel carrier throughout the duration of the flight. Pet fees depend on the region where you are travelling.
