Pros (+) Nothing
Cons (-) Only a bed in room and way too expensive for a room the size of small closet and being back in a small secluded corner like they were trying to hide us. No balcony, no chair, nothing

Pros (+) The history of the hotel is amazing and the ghost tour was fun! It was also incredible to pull up and see an entire herd of elk grazing on the property!
Cons (-) The room was comfortable but rather small (but it is a historic hotel) and there is construction around the property with dirt and cranes.

Pros (+) Great historical property, ghost tour was awesome, and dinner in the chophouse was great. Incredible views.
Cons (-) Elevator wasn't working and we were on the third floor. Individual Room AC unit wasn't great, and no fridge was a bummer. Lots of construction going on and very loud first thing in the morning.

Pros (+) The overall facilities have a unique charm and the location in Estes Park Colorado is beautiful.
Cons (-) We’ve stayed at the Stanley hotel a number of times over the last 30+ years (first time for our honeymoon in 1990). We were disappointed and underwhelmed this time with a postage stamp sized room that was over $400 a night. Noise from the room above made it hard to fall sleep (squeaky floors that were not the guests fault). The bathroom had only a small 12x12 inch table for holding toiletries. Som...

Pros (+) It is a very historic site. I would just go tour. Too expensive for property.
Cons (-) Very expensive. Under major construction. Parking hard. Rooms old and beds uncomfortable. Elevator out in our building. I would not suggest at this time. Over $400 just not worth it.

Cons (-) Building and rooms definitely need renovation, looking pretty old, no ac in the rooms, dirty windows never been cleaned probably, for that price you could go to ritz carlton or some nice new hotel, really disappointed with hotel

Pros (+) The history and the elegance. It was clean and comfortable and the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Cons (-) The ghost tour was a letdown. The tour guide seemed bored and kept asking us if she had told us everything.

Pros (+) Great property and views are amazing. The staff is very friendly.
Cons (-) They have not done a very good job of keeping the grounds nice. There is construction going on. But the flowers and other areas need attention. The room we had was ok. Paid way too much for what the room was. The bed did not even have a dust ruffle on it. So that made it look cheap. They need to put soap dish for the soap next to the sink. Putting the soap on the counter looks bad and gets gross s...
