Great location, rooms and bathrooms clean, unique property, great included breakfast. Staff mostly friendly.
No aircon and paying $360 for a room without a bathroom.
Great location - right in the heart of the Rocks Sydney. Kind of feels like a Venice style hotel with long corridors and lots of charm.
The staff were all absolutely lovely. Breakfast was generous and very pleasant. Although the room was over a pub, the soundproofing was pretty good - they've done well adjusting to a heritage building. The building is unique, which was fun, but full of small stairs that can not be avoided.
It's a little hard to leave the room accessible when leaving to use the bathroom (which was right next door) - the key was just one more thing to juggle and the bathroom had no bench space. It would also have been improved with a grab rail in the shower to help get over the side of the bath confidently.
The building has been so well maintained to keep in line with the history of the property. The location was perfect, a 2 minute walk to Circular Quay but not noisy. My room decor was just lovely and the bed so so comfy. I haven’t slept that well for a very long time. Maybe it was the delicious Belgian chocolate left on the pillow? Room and bed was comfortable, breakfast included was good value, location was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our room key failed to work when we returned from the night out and couldn't get in the building, fortunately another guest arrived the same time and let us in. We also couldn't access the room with our key. The after hours phone went straight to message bank and we couldn't contact the night manager to fix the keypass. Hotel in easy walking distance from the train. We were able to drop our luggage off early, which made it easy to explore. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a larger room, and breakfast was included. Would definitely stay there again.
