I had my car pickup scheduled for 5pm. It took few minutes longer to get the luggage. I came to the Avis counter at 5:10pm and it was closed. The airport security guard told me that he saw Avis people close at 4:30pm that day. What?!? I called all phone numbers I was able to find and no answer. I travelled for 36 hours from Sacramento, California to Krakow. I was tored and had to pay extra to take taxi to my final destination and the next day to look for car rental in the city I headed to. Discovery Cars (agent through whom I was connected with Avis) and the Avis counter at the Krakow Balice airport are a pure joke. I will never use their services and I recommend that you don’t use them either.
