The car had the service engine light on when I rented it. They said it was because of the quality or lack of quality of gas available in Belize. Every time you started the car it said routine maintenance was due. The ASB lights came on from time to time while driving. When starting the car the next time it was cleared out. The car has an awful vibration when you reached speeds just below 50 mph. It was not in the steering wheel so I assumed the tires were out of balance. This was the forth time to rent a car from the airport in Belize. We have never seen such poor quality of a rental car and we have never seen the service engine light on because of the quality of the gas put in the car.
Pros:Proximity to terminal
We arrived BZE and found Budget easily. We asked to change our car because the air didn’t seem to be getting cool enough. No problem. The turn in process was as easy as our checkout process. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. No problems.
It was great. I loved my rental which gave me freedom to explore the country.
The agent returned to open so I could get a car. Sadly the car was really old and rattled a lot. Not an overall great experience.
