The poor woman who tried to give me the car was very nice, but it took 40 minutes. She had tons of computer problems. Who has that kind of time to wait for a $400 24 hr van rental?

We drove our car for 45 minutes and realized we were smelling a lot of fumes (we thought it was just coming from outside, when in fact it was coming from our car.) We realized upon arriving to our friends' house that the hood of the car was smoking. We then had to be on hold with Budget to send someone to tow the car and they offered to drive us back to the airport to get a new car, but at this point we had to leave to keep driving to make it in time to a wedding. Had we not been able to borrow our friends' car, I don't know what we would've done. Then we had to spend time on hold with customer service the following day to try to get reimbursed. All in all, a terrible car rental experience.
