The car did not have a full tank when collected. And no refund was offered when it was returned full.

booked the car through a company called ladybug which i wasnt aware was an american booking agent, so i had to pay a 99euro collision waiver insurance which i thought was included!! The lady at Hertz was great and the car was good, we were held up en route to the airport and didnt have time to fuel. the key drop was so easy at the end of the trip, it saved us time as we were running late, next time we go i will be going direct to hertz and by passing the booking agent, overall great customer service,

Queue for pickup, with none at other companies, but that is luck of the draw. Then a customer returned to the desk as he could not start his car, so the one Hertz staff member had to go and assist him. 15 min wait in total.

Upgraded from a compact petrol estate to a Tesla Model Y on arrival. Which was great considering the price I paid. I already have an EV so I was more than happy to have it for a fortnight as the range is excellent (500km). Although it wasn’t so easy to find superchargers where I was staying in rural France. Not so great was the €21500 excess I was informed about because the online site I’d used to book with is American and not based in UK or Europe. I’d not been aware that booking via a US site results in a lack of third party insurance during the booking process. I’d even taken out my own excess insurance. Fortunately I didn’t have any incidents in the car and my kids loved it! Retuning the car, there was no Hertz representative present at 13:30 in the afternoon. Another rental rep from another company said it was ok to pop it through the returns letter box on the side of the building. Which felt a bit wrong as it’s a flimsy plastic card in a cardboard wallet for this car. But had a returns assessment email later that afternoon and all good. So overall a good experience.
