The basic rental experience was fine. We got a flat tire in Italy and that experience was pretty poor, though. They towed the car away but did not communicate with us about whether, when, and how we’d get the car back (or a replacement). Worse yet, when we finally returned the replacement car that we managed to track down, they charged us $470USD for the towing and tire repair! $470 for a flat tire! Pretty outrageous, and more than half the cost of the whole week-long rental.
