Never prepay anything... Wanted to switch my reservation to my wife's name. Not allowed. They made me cancel my reservation and rebook in her name. $500 cancelation fee. Not really acceptable as she was standing right next to me at the counter. Just another b.s. fine print screw the customer situation.

There is construction going on in the Malaga airport and the signs leading to car rental are all incorrect. We walked all over the airport before finally seeing a van with the logo on the side and running after it and stopping it to find out how to get a ride to the vehicle location. Once we got there the people were outstanding. Walked us through our rental, the charges, what to expect, really all we could ask for. The vehicle itself was comfortable and drove well. The drop off in Madrid was ok, but there was some damage to the vehicle that we ended up paying for that we had no idea happened. I'm guessing somebody hit us in a parking garage. Oh well, not the rental car companies fault, but it did put a damper on the return process.
I had heard bad things about Hertz and I've rented from other companies regularly. My experience with them was actually very good. It was an easy process and the service was good. No hidden fees, no issues. Well done.

Bonjour En prenant la voiture que j ai loué pour quelques heures 9h-18::30(30km),j ai fait le tour de la voiture,aucune anomalie. En retournant la voiture, des petites taches de p peinture blanche (couleur de la voiture) de 1-2cm2 sur le bas côté du coffre,côté conducteur,dont m en incriminé la responsabilité.

Last time that i use KAYAK.The app give me wrong direction to drop off the car.Because of that i need to pay extra 76 euro.Poor communication between kayak and hertz.For sure will not recommend anyone to use KAYAK

The reservation of the car did not happen . After calling us three times within 24 hours to confirm the reservation, when we got there they told there was no car available and we had to wait five hours for one. Went to hertz.

I reserved a car over a month in advance. When I went to pick it up, they said they had no cars available to rent. I’d say that is as bad as it can be. I was stranded in another country.
