Nissan car hires in Gatwick

I had to wait over an hour for the only person working the rental desk at the hotel to show up. I kept calling and he said 10 more minutes and I will be there.

They took forever!!!! I have never booked with them because of the line I see everytime I get into LA but I just happened to land at 1am and thought it wouldn't be busy but we had to wait 2 hours for a car... ridiculous.

Reserved a certain vehicle and when I went there they didn't have any available and had to cancel my reservation.

Handling of costumer at the desk was very poor. I was denied for the car I had booked and after wasting one and a half hour at desk we were upgraded. There policy was not clear.

The easiest and friendliest car rental process ever! Booked online for Nelson Airport pickup and return Feb ‘24. Cheerful and helpful man at the desk. No surprises. Smooth process. But be aware that there is an extra surcharge for the airport ( ours was $45).

Although we reached out during their normal business hours, we were never able to pick up the car, because we weren’t able to contact them to get the shuttle to the location. We finally got in contact with someone who told us she would call us back with an update on when to expect the shuttle, but she never called us back.

The car made an insane vibrating bass sound that people could hear from outside, it sounded like there was some black market subwoofer in there. I rented this car to attend my grandfathers FUNERAL. I’m in the procession sounding like I’m blasting bass filled music! I tried to call them to be like what on earth and they never answered. When I returned the vehicle and reported the noise to them they were like “oh yeah we know about that, this type of car is probably going to get recalled because they all make that noise.” Seems like something one would mention BEFORE. Also took like 45 minutes to get the car because they had one person at the desk and the people in front of us didn’t have a shred of the details they needed so there was just a line forming behind them. Also the car was overdue for an oil change by THREE THOUSAND miles and the car kept sending an alert about how the oil life was at 0%. When I told them this when dropping off the car they were just like “oh yeah we know”

They said pickup was at the airport. It is not. You have to walk 1/3 mile with your luggage to take a shuttle to their place which is 15 minutes away. I waited thirty minutes for the shuttle and finally gave up and rented from another company.

Terrible! Upon arriving in Denver we shuttled to ace and there was at least a hour wait in line. While standing in line we noticed a sign that no cars were allowed out of the state. So we had to shuttle back to the airport and book another car rental with someone else which obviously took a lot of valuable time. Bottom line we didn’t rent from ace and never will again.

The wait for the shuttle to pick up the car took ~30 min 15 min would have made this part of the review Excellent

They forced to take an Insurance which was not included in my réservation which I refuser. They Said you may or you leave …

pick up time was quite long but it was a busy day and I just missed one bus so 30 mins wait for the next. Better instructions to locate the bus would help

Despicable

Excessive overcharging. Additional charges for location pick up, spurious taxes and 3 times normal fuel charges. I would not use them again at Gatwick airport.

I'd 100% use avis again. Very easy pick up and drop off. Car was perfect. Price for the week hire was very reasonable.

I had to cancel and the company refused. I didn't use the vehicle and I still lost £62.00.
