Pros:Staff was friendly
Cons:No signage at the airport. You have to call their generic 1-877 number which is for all the ACE locations, and Maui isn't one of them! I only got their direct number because an airport worker who deals with unhappy ACE customers wondering how to contact the local office has their number memorized and gave me the number, else I would still be on hold with the nationa number. The office closes at 3:00 and if you drop it off after hours, there's no one sitting in the office (which is a closed Lexus dealership) to take you back to the airport. Eventually found a person sleeping (?) in the office who drove me in my same car back to the airport where I had dropped off the family. This business is really "Hawaiian Vans" DBA as "ACE Car Rental"
I was a little concerned that they don't use the standard airport shuttle to get you to the rental office, but it worked out ok. There was no line like at the bigger agencies. There was only one person working so it's good that there were no lines. The car was brand new. Still had temporary plates. Overall, it was a very positive experience.
Incredibly rude staff at pickup. I also reserved a compact car and they gave me the biggest suv. Car was clean, drop off was super easy.
Great, the people at ACE in Maui are very nice! Vehicle selection is great and they are well taken care of.
I got a better car!
