The counter staff at the Salt Lake City Budget was rude and unhelpful. When we arrived, he informed us that he did not have the 7 passenger one way rental that we reserved back in January. He told us that we could take another car but could not tell us if it was for 5 or 7. He told us to wait while he checked with another budget person in the car pick up area. He ignored us for over 30 minutes and when we returned to the counter, he continued his rude attitude and acted like it was my problem that the car I reserved was not present. In the meantime, my husband went directly to the car pick up area and spoke with "Johnnie" who was extremely helpful. Johnnie reported he had the 7 passenger car and had tried to call the counter staff multiple times but he did not pick up. The counter staff should not be working in customer services. He lacks interpersonal skills and is made no effort to help the situation. This reflects very poorly on Budget that they allow this person to be the first interaction with customers.
