It let me book knowing they didn't have any inventory. Seriously Wtf. There were many people that were affected by this. After booking, traveling to the the dollar counter, and then standing in line for 40 minutes the lady in line told us that if we booked today that they didn't have a car for us. What is terrible is that their site always shows inventory - I checked it after that whole experience.

I'm from the deep south, and it would have been nice if the rental clerk had suggested a 4WD vehicle since I was going to the far north of Wisconsin. The rented vehicle, a Chrysler 300, was nice in terms of comfort, but poor in terms of useability in the snowy northern region I was visiting. I had to borrow a vehicle from family to be able to do anything while I was there, leaving the Chrysler parked for the better part of a week as a rear-wheel drive car was pretty much useless in the ice & snow. Also, the tires on the vehicle appeared to be standard radials rather than all-weather tires, so handling in the less-than-ideal conditions was sketchy at best, and actual snow tires would have been nice.

One hour and half wait to get to counter. No cars available for another two to three hours! Only two agents handling over 100 fed up customers. A terrible customer service experience!

Dollar had no cars. Sent us to thrifty. Made us call to cancel. Said they couldnt. Referred us to priceline. Who says no valud reason to cancel. No car not a valid reason. Wasted more than 3 hours and paid gor two cars. Insanity
