I went online the day before I needed a work van. I reserved the van. The next morning, I recieved an email explaining they did not have any box trucks. I didn't order a box truck. I rented a van. So I called. The not so nice person told me they didn't have any vans at that location and all their box trucks were busy receiving recall upgrades. This person had no customer empathy whatsoever. Couldn't wait to get me off the phone. I had to call my customer and tell them I couldn't do their job because the rental place didn't have any vehicles, even though they reserved one for me. What a disappointment.

I started the car rental process on KAYAK. On that site the penalty for cancelling the rental before 3 days is $0.00. The rental started thru first KAYAK, then routed Priceline and Hertz. The experience with Hertz was the WORST. It looked like a SCAM when I wanted to cancel the reservation 72 hours ahead. Hertz did not give any option without charging a Penalty of $50.00 / 100.00 / or forfeit altogether. I cancelled 3 days before the rental day. When I wanted to talk to a real breathing live person, Hertz informed they will charge 15% or 5% of the rental amount (I don't remember). Conversing with Zombies at Hertz is free. No charges. Thank God Hertz is not charging even to call them . This KAYAK / Priceline / Hertz is the BEST example of scam artistry, I came across in a long time. SHAME ON YOU!
