There were many hidden fees. I booked the rental online and paid $264, which I figured was the full amount because they mentioned the extra fees on top of the daily price. I also chose the only insurance option that was offered when I booked online. When I picked up my rental, I had to pay an additional $244 for other fees. They also said I shouldn't have bought the insurance that was offered when I booked it, and I had to buy additional insurance through Hertz. If you can book the rental online, everything that you have to pay should be factored into one payment, not split like they do it. It is like they are purposely hiding the extra fees until you are at the rental place and it is too late to do anything else. The car was also nothing special, pretty low quality considering it was $500 for four days. Definitely do not reccommend this company.

The information in the website is misleading. The SUV provided was not a full size but a midsize. In the counter they said that sizes between Hertz and Kayak not necessarily match. We ended having to pay significant more for a full size SUV. In addition the car was not properly cleaned. Previous renter had clearly smoked pot in the car. The employee at the counter was not very courteous. They have so many people renting these days that they don’t value much the customer.

The experience was a lot better than many reviews i saw. Maybe covid time didnt help. ...It was the cheapest option. So that was good. But I thought I booked for a mystery economy. My 3 choices were all trucks. The lady tried to make me feel better by pointing that yesterday mystery car was a 15 seat van. Sneaky. ...the gmc canyon was fairly new n very clean. Had USB Bluetooth android sync n reverse camera. All good. Oh check in and return were easy and smooth.

Very nice customer service but the rates are outrageous. It was a substantially lower price online and way more expensive at pick up due to random fees and taxes. It was a tiny little car and I could have spent the same amount of money to buy a car then sell it myself.
