I had made a reservation for a vehicle for 3 days as I had travelled to Augusta, GA due to a death in the family. I was in urgent need of a vehicle. Initially, the agency called and told me that they did not have a vehicle in stock at the time of my pickup but told me that they expected one a couple of hours later. A couple of hours later, I contacted the agency to check on vehicle availability status and was told they could not find my reservation. After spending more than 30 mins on the phone, no reservation was able to found and I was told that they won't have an available vehicle until the day of my departure (3 days later). They informed me that they are a privately owned franchise and the booking agents don't have visibility into their fleet. The agents were rude and unhelpful. I will never book with Thrifty again.

My flight arrived a little later and they had cancelled my reservation! Fortunately they did have a different car for me.
The customer service was great. Pick up and drop off were smooth. The only issue I had was the cleanliness of the vehicle, which I had them to reclean. Once I left with the vehicle it displayed that an oil change was needed and the tire pressure was not even on all tires. That concerned me because I was on the way to a destination and did not want to have mechanical issues.

We are normally Budget customers but they were unable to facilitate a car for us this time. We chose Alamo and the car we received was in poor shape mechanically and made very loud creeks and noises when driven on the freeway. The car is in need of serious mechanical repair. We were unsure of its road worthiness it was too late to change as we had to get to Charlotte but it made for a very uncomfortable drive and caused much anxiety. Mileage was past 38,000 miles. When we got to Charlotte airport we told the employee of our experience and he apologized profusely. It was nice that he listened to the feedback and he did give us a partial refund on our bill which we were grateful for. If he had not we would not consider Alamo in the future.

Made the RSVP on kayak, took a taxi to the location and then was told they didnt have a vehicle for me. Kayak should make sure of availability before doing a reservation. Everything could have been better.
Yeah sure Hertz knows how to take the reservation ,,, they just don't know how to hooold the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them. Had it not been for hertz employee Tabatha, the entire experience would have been a colossal fail in terms of customer engagement and satisfaction.

The cars I've rented from here have had a cursory cleaning. I had to wipe down the inside and clean the windows. There will still bugs stuck to the front of the car.

Car was very dirty when we picked it up. I was in Georgia and the rear defrost didn't work. I am from Boston and it was rainy so it made my travels difficult. I called Hertz because I rented the car until 10/12 but on the contract it said 10/11. I was charged a $28 dollar telephone call fee - insane. They wouldn't take it off even thought I was correct. My confirmation was the 12th. It also wasnt clear that I wasn't picking up car at airport - I had to take a taxi to get it. I also wanted to return my car at the airport since my flight was in the evening that night. The price would have gone up from $266 to $390 - to drop off at Hertz at the airport 15 minutes away - 5 hours later. Crazy. I will call and try to get my refund from them for the phone call I had to make because of their error.

Hertz refused to rent to me after making the reservation nearly 2 months in advance. Hertz said there was an unknown problem with my license and had me call a Hertz telephone number. The number hung up on me twice and the rep said he couldn't rent to me and that number was the only number he had.

I reserved a car through Kayak and when I went to the Hertz office in Augusta, Georgia to pick it up I was told they had no cars for a one way rental even though I had reserved a car. They said the only thing I could get was a huge Ford Sprinter van, which is basically a work or delivery vehicle. They also told me it would cost me $20.00 more than my confirmed reservation. Even though I protested I was basically told, take it or leave it. I had explained to them that I was in a desperate situation because my car had broken down 5 hours from home and I didn’t have time to waste. They didn’t seem to care and I was forced to take it. The van was a mess. It was dirty and there was damage all over it. The windshield was dirty and the washer reservoir was empty. It was uncomfortable, and noisy. It was badly out of alignment and uncomfortable to drive. It only got around 15 miles to a gallon of gas so my fuel expense was high. In all my life this was the worse car rental experience I’ve ever had and I’m going to also complain to the company office.
Did not have the car I booked. They mentioned last minute pay more and upgrade had just 2 SUV on lot. The rear seat of the SUV was filled with cobwebs and spiders crawling around. An insect got into my daughters ear.

Even though their hours said they would be open, I wanted to double check because it was late so I specifically called ahead to ensure they would be open for my arrival. They confirmed and had my flight info. When I arrived they had closed and gone home for the day despite it being within normal business hours and my call to confirm just hours before that. I was stranded with no ride in a remote location with no Uber or Lyft.
We rented a car online, paid for an Uber to the location and were told there were no cars. I even called to confirm the rental just Imad there were no cars.

I was unable to rent with a debit card and I had the money for the hold amount. It was very unfortunate I had an emergency my daughter had COVID and I needed to rush her to the hospital from her college and was unable to. Credit is important but we all know credit is sometimes messed up. If I was told to pay $1000 I would have because it was an emergency. The Chinese lady who went before me had no credit and no major credit card but the same association allowed her to rent even after telling her she could not rent because she acted as if she didn’t understand English he pushed it through for her totally wrong. I did not have a good experience. I rent from enterprise all time with a debit card and a hold of $300 the only reason I couldn’t rent that day because no cars were available at any location because of the last minute. This company should look into accommodations like enterprise if they want to continue great success. Or the people that work there should have a credit check and I can guarantee their will be no employees. In the meantime I’m working on my credit. This was the worst experience ever the associate was friendly but unfair how he took care of the last in front of me took him one hour to push her information through and left me hanging.
They didn't have the SUV available. Wrecked my travel plans completely. Lackluster, nonchalant attitude of in person rep was the icing on the cake

Car was not ready when we got there, waited 2 hours, they gave us an SUV but it was WAY too small. Then they made the refund process a massive headache. All of this happened on 12/22 and we’re STILL waiting for them to release the $250 deposit hold on our credit card. Absolutely absurd.
