The good: Our plane got in hours late and the Avis employee stayed until everyone was able to pick up their car, very late into the morning (1-2am). Thank you! Constructive: The car wasn’t clean, windows were full of handprints and there was no one to check the car out when we left. We noticed damage to the car when we picked it up and can only hope that they don’t think that we did it. My guess is that they’re just understaffed and trying their best. Having rented many cars during the pandemic, this was the first poor experience I’ve had and the first time renting from Avis.

I returned the car 10 minutes late, I was another full day. I was told by an avis phone rep that I would not be charged for the full day they added to my charges, the charge has not been refunded.

The staff at the counter when I arrived was courteous and fast. Very helpful, 10/10 I ordered a "mid-side SUV," comparable to a Toyota RAV4, and received a Jeep Renegade. To me, it was a wagon—and a small one at that—not a mid-size SUV. But I was in too much of a hurry to contest it.
