We had to wait in line for over an hour to get the car. The car we rented was not available so we got a larger car, which we didn't really needed. The inside of the car was clean but the windows were still dirty.

We had a 5pm vehicle reservation upon our arrival at CLT airport and didn't get our rental until 7:30pm. Staff was wildly understaffed and unprepared to meet not only our needs, but the needs of other customers waiting for their rental. Abysmal customer service.

Only one counter person and took 5 min per customer. Eventually a second counter person came and provided a QRC to make check in faster (don’t know why the first attendant do this) Finally got to the front and the online check in that I just completed was not in their system. Ugh

The car a selected, according to attendant, was not available. They wanted me to take a “premium car” with an additional fee or to call you to cancel the reservation. I never received a car. I ended using UBER for transportation.

Like: The low price/day for the vehicle before adding CDW, Toll Pass, etc. Dislike: Lengthy wait time to rent vehicle (over 30 min). Lack of staff available to perform multiple tasks at once (only 1 staff was at check-in for majority of the time we were there). More than one person complained about the wait time including a women who had waited 40min at shuttle pickup point at airport. Long wait time for shuttle from airport to off-site location (15-20min). There was no information provided to contact shuttle or location to alert them to passengers needing pickup. Lack of explanation of required items, such as declaration page for rental auto insurance.

Overall a very good experience, nice car, great shuttle service. However, I felt I was sold services i didn’t actually need, such as the toll payment. There aren’t that many toll highways in that area, so it would have been nice if the person there would have pointed out where toll highways are. I could have made a better decision. I realize their job is to sell, but people at other car rentals I’ve used have helped in that way. Though that part was disappointing, the rest was a good experience, so I will use Easirent there again.

The phone number they gave for the shuttle didn’t work. It rang and went to voicemail for 20 minutes. I finally called corporate office and they contacted the office. When I got to the office they wanted me to purchase sunpass even though there were no tolls where I was. Lots of people in the office but when you walked in no one helped.

I can can’t remember ever renting with Alamo, so this was essentially my first time. As noted, I booked online via Kayak, however when I arrived at CLT airport rental facility. The initial Alamo customer service representative was very rude and unfriendly. I believe she charged me a $400 dollar deposit because I was black. Due to the fact I was pressed for time I didn’t argue, I just paid the deposit and moved on in the moment. However, afterwards I re-reviewed the steps and information provided during the booking reservation process and no where was there language stating a policy regarding a the potential for a deposit. Again, I didn’t argue in the moment but the initial representative had an unkind attitude. However, everyone I encountered after leaving the checkin area were very pleasant people to talk to. If I wasn’t pressed for time the initial interaction could have forced me to make other rental arrangements. I am a premier Avis member so I could have simply walked 20 feet to the Avis counter.

Easy pick up, no line. Kylie, at Charlotte Airport Alamo counter was so nice, professional, and efficient. We were able to get our car quickly, and had no problems at all. Return was smooth and quick as well.

Sloooooow shuttle service; more than 30 minutes. Staff says shuttle runs on loop. Shuttle driver insists staff has to request shuttle. Phone always going to voicemail--took more than 6 calls to get a live person. Had to request shuttle 4 times. Indifferent initial employees-blame shifting for problems. Car rented had mechanical problems within 2 miles of renting. More than 1.5 hours total from shuttle call to final rental of working vehicle while there were essentially no other, or minimal, other customers.

Many people including myself upset about the virtual agent check in and insurance requirements due to all options being older cars. The entire experience lacks personal touch because of the way the company is run. I didn’t see one customer who was pleased with the experience. Being told to hurry up twice while I was in the airport headed to the shuttle was also a unique experience. There’s just a lack of focus on customer experience. People should read reviews on the company before booking.
