We had a problem with the smell of the car. We had asked for a no smoking car and when we picked up we were assured all cars were no smoking. We reported it to Hertz so they could fix for next customer. The Hertz representative accused us of creating the small in the car and said they would determine if they would charge us a cleaning fee! We did not have time to return the car for another because we were in a hurry to get to a wedding. They were very rude!!! I will never rent from Hertz Again!!

Bryan was very pleasant and extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good car rental experience. It was so nice to experience great customer service.
I showed up to get my car after reserving online and they didn’t have a car available for me. They made no attempt to contact me prior to showing up.

Reserved vehicle was not available. Reserved a full size SUV and tried to give us a minivan to drive Montanas back roads. Ended up getting a small pickup which ended up fine. This after calling 3 times the week before to confirm they would have my vehicle. Vehicle was not cleaned very well both inside and outside. Staff was friendly though and pickup and drop off was smooth as well.
Picked up SUV and was told that a crack was in the windshield and it was on back order.I had an appointment so left with the vehicle. I couldn’t believe Alamo would rent with such a large crack. It was in my sight line and I returned it the next day. They only offered me a small Sadan. I ask for a credit of some sort since it was not an SUV that I originally rented. The clerk was very rude. She did state I would receive a 200 $ credit. Will never rent from Alamo again.
I had a business meeting in Vancouver, WA on Friday at 1:00 pm. I was at my sons in Olympia when I discovered I had a flat tire in the rental car. I called Avis and was directed to their emergency roadside service. They told me it would be 55 minutes and then a tech would be there to fix the flat. He didn’t come for 5 hours. I missed my meeting. They didn’t have any sense of urgency to assist me.
