Drop off with John at Avis was really great! Such courteous and friendly service. So nice to see such professionalism. Would be great to have instructions in the car for using Satnav maps. I used my iPhone but was a little confused with car screen presentation at times. Overall a fabulous experience and would definitely recommend Avis at this location.

Cameron was friendly, informative, helpful and has a great sense of humour. The car, while small for someone 6’4”, was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities (except sat nav).

Everything went smooth and the people were very friendly and helpful. They made sure the car was perfect before I left and that I understood how to work the controls. Be sure to ask because some things in Europe aren’t intuitive such as reverse or opening the gas tank. Overall my experience with them and the was wonderful

The night before I was expected to pick my car up I received an email stating that the car would not be on site at the scheduled time the following day and no time was given. I called the car rental company the morning I was supposed to collect the car as the email they sent the day before was after hours so there was nobody manning the customer support service. When I spoke to a representative they continued to state that they Did not have the car I ordered available and at that time there were no other cars to select from.. Approximately two hours later they did provide a car although it wasn’t the car I had initially selected. The delay cut in to our travel time as we was scheduled to drive to another location that morning but did not leave until the afternoon due to the delay in receiving a car.

Will never rent from budget ever again. I was blamed for damages that were already on the vehicle, and it’s taking forever to get ahold of an actual human to discuss and share the time stamped photos I have to prove it.

I was hugely disappointed overall. Just to change the pick up from city center to the airport turned out to be impossible. The location in city center is very difficult to find, even by cabbies. And to get a car big enough to accommodate our luggage, that had been fully explained in our request last September, cost an additional 500 pounds. What was a good deal turned into exploitation. Either lose all our prepaid money or pony up the extra money and drag all our luggage into the city center to get a bigger car. We’re all in our sixties— not good customer service to me! With Hertz, we spent half us much for two weeks as we spent for one week with Sixt. Kane at the airport and Adam at city center were very helpful at getting us in a larger vehicle but at a cost. On the other hand, the online assistance was non existent. Rude, extremely slow to respond and not helpful. I won’t be using Sixt again.

Flight was cancelled so had to change my reservation to a day later and was told the price had changed - doubled, in fact. $300 cancellation fee, so I had to pay double the price. Was supposed to pay about $500 and ended up paying $1,200.

Konrad is a star. He was helpful (and not in a pushy way) on what terrain to expect and needs for space. Just fantastic as was his colleague. who actually brought the car to us for our convenience. SUPER. Drop off at the Edinburgh Airport is not intuitive and quite difficult in the dark and rain.
