I was very pleased with the unexpected SIGNIFICANT upgrade -- I originally had booked a convertible, expecting just a Mustang convertible, so you can only imagine how happy I was when I arrived at the counter and was upgraded to a relatively brand new BMW Z4 at the same rate! Even better, with the original reservation, I would have had to return the car the next day by 7:30PM to the Orlando Airport and be charged two days' rate (my pick up was at 5PM Saturday, needing to return by 7:30PM Sunday and otherwise see a MASSIVE rate hike from ~$150 to ~$600). However, because of the change in vehicles, I could return it on Monday by 5PM for the original rate of ~$150 at the hotel I was staying in, saving me a LOT of hassle. I imagine Sixt may have lost some money with my reservation, but a great experience from start to finish.for me!

We had to wait for two hours in line to get our vehicle. That was absurd! We were exhausted since this was at from 10:30pm-12:30am! The agent was very efficient once it was our turn. Once we received our vehicle, everything was excellent...the van, the drop off.

I pre booked my car but upon arrival the Credit card machine wouldn’t read my card for the deposit. The person at the desk wasn’t willing to be helpful. So I went to Avis and rented because that person was able to be helpful.

not great. We rented an electric small SUV that they gave to us not charged. They were unable to help us when we realized after driving 10 miles that the car battery was going to die. We went to the only gas stations with chargers and we happened to be at the only WaWa in the area that didn't have a charger. So we drove back to the airport with the charge so low it just said "Low" and didn't give mileage anymore, then had to pay the difference for a new car. The worst part was we were there to see family in the hospital and had a limited amount of time and missed visiting hours that day because we were dealing with the hertz mess. After my sister complained to the counter person she offered no apology and gave me some certificate for 40$ toward my next rental car with Hertz. Not gonna happen.

Pick up was all about upspending. Not comfortable Drop off in Punta Gorda was very unprofessional. Poor signage no worker dark unsafe and keydrop was as you left the lot. Should have been near cars as we had to go back and get keys

The key pick was a little confusing. The parking garage office said platinum members go inside, when I asked a Hertz employee where I get my keys she told me I had to go inside. After waiting 15 minutes, I was told the keys were in the vehicle.

I have really bad allergies, so I couldn't fully appreciate the condition of the car at pickup. Once my allergies cleared a bit, I realized that the car had a really bad odor to it. Smelled like someone had tried (and failed) to cover up cigarette (or similar) smell. When I picked up my travel companion, he arrived at the exact same conclusion before I even said anything. Second problem. The lady convinced me to spring for the toll package because the route I would be taking had tons of tolls. It actually had none. She lied to me and ripped me off. She must get a commission for the number of upgrades they sell at the counter, as she also aggressively tried to sell me their insurance, which is insanely expensive.

Kayak confirmation number didn’t match Alamo confirmation number, never got an email from Alamo confirming the reservation. Had to call their customer support to get that information, and had to re-enter my email address to get a confirmation via email. At Alamo, I chose the Skip the Counter option and expected to be able to pick up my rental by going straight to the car and to the exit booth. I was told by the kiosk personnel that we were good to do this, and once at the exit booth was told we needed a number that the counter or kiosk worker would provide. They proceeded to complete the pickup and rental agreement and ended up giving me a rental agreement for National Car Rentals for a person and car other than myself and the car I rented. Alamo contacted me via text and phone the following day asking if I picked up a car. I had to text them the VIN to complete the rental agreement. Overall, a big mess up on the part of Alamo.

Upon pickup at the enterprise counter, I originally did not have a reservation. I asked at the desk (at 130am) if they had availability and they did not. I then booked online and went back to the same counter to pick up my now available car. It was definitely frustrating that the counter was turning people away as sold out and I had to find my own vehicle online from the same provider. Drop off was very easy at Sarasota. Gage and Ernie were extremely helpful.

Major issue is the Thrifty name is nowhere on the building. It was located inside a Hertz car rental. The address on the building was hard to read. Took over an hour to pick up my reservation. Drop off was just as bad. Seemed to be under staffed. Twice they tried to rent cars to people that needed repairs taking more time. During drop off they interrupted my transaction to send employee to pick up more cars. I tried to extend rental 1 more day and that day would have been over twice what my rental was per day.

The problem itself is not with the car rental company, but with the Kayak. I made the first reservation, however, with the wrong time, so the car rental company suggested that I make another reservation, which I did. I picked up a car and they charged me for 2. I'm waiting for a response to this.

Worst ever. No personnel at airport desk. Prepay customers ahead of me had been waiting 1.5 hrs with no sign of someone— a person took care of one client then disappeared. Had to book a car with a competitor on the spot and paid twice as much due to last minute booking. Thrifty never again.

First, the rental was not ready, we had to wait about an hour to get a car. Second, they overcharged for an extra day after we dropped off the car in time. Although the time they entered as starting time was not the time we left with the rental. They stamped the time at 11:47pm but didn’t get the car until pass 12:30 am. So we had to go the office to get the 2nd day charge removed. Third, they now said the is a crack in the windshield, after 48 hours that we return the car.

Service desk and drop off were not helpful and really didn’t care about anything but selling you insurance when you pick up the vehicle. Also they didn’t have the vehicle I ordered and told me I would have to wait around 40 min to an hour and that was only if they could find one. The vehicle I got was nice but didn’t fit our stuff causing us to take two cars instead of one

Pick up was horrendous,, total chaos waited over 2 hours to be told I’d get a vehicle but not what we hired , this happened to all people waiting.. We actually got a similar car to the one booked so we thought we were luckier than others . Car was filthy dirty no option to sort we had to leave it’s now 4 am , we hadn’t left car park and clearly the vehicle with 42,000 miles had multiple faults and should have been in for repairs not out on hire …

Checkin took nearly an hour. There were 3 or 4 agents working and 4 guys standing around watching. Not sure why it takes so long, there were lots of cars in the lot. Granted that things were busy since the Ft Lauderdale airport was closed, but why does it have to be so slow?

We had booked a van online at Tampa international airport and when we got there we were told we didn’t but they said u must have been re-routed to a Avis agent half hour north of airport- this was terrible- then we were told we could not return it at Tampa and had to bring it back the agent or we would be charged - terrible - we should be partially compensated for out trouble Darren
