I was unable to use your services when I landed because of some voucher issue. Had to come out of the pocket on the spot instead of going with the prepaid method. Really big inconvenience coming up with 600+ dollars on the spot for a week long rental.

Rented a Mercedes Benz in Miami and rain started to pour, I discovered that car didn’t have the blade in windshield wipers! It was missing and the wiper on the passenger side was not working!! Very dangerous!! Had to record a video because it was incredible to get a car in such poor basic condition. Very disappointed

The windshield was extremely dirty and both side mirrors dirty. Nobody takes the time to explain any of the vehicle features . Remember not All vehicles are not the same. Your office at the drop off on Marco island was excellent. The Orlando airport pickup location needs to be reminded of these things.

I did not agree to the prepaid gas and saw it on my rental agreement so I told the associate and he said oh don’t worry if you bring it back filled they don’t charge you . Well I brought it back filled and now they want a receipt sent to corporate of the full amount and will review the case . And of course you can’t speak to a human on the phone to rectify issue . Just be careful .

I'm glad we arrived early. The car needed to be cleaned so we had to wait 20min before it was ready. We did take possession of the rental on time. Just get there early to get paperwork done and to allow time to prep the car. The car was clean and had a full tank of gas which was appreciated.

Arrived at airport, no one at Payless counter. Avis was handling Payless rentals. About a 2-3 hour wait to get car as lines were extremely long. Completely unacceptable as we had to be somewhere for a job, so we were never able to pick up our rental.

I specifically told the agent no CDW insurance. He added it so my $219 price you gave me was $545. Didn’t notice until the next day. You can’t call them and you can’t fix it. $10.55 per gallon if you don’t have time to put gas in the car. I feel totally taken. I looked at reviews and I am one of many - the overcharges seem pretty much how they do business. I will never rent from Thrifty again, ever.

Upon pickup I found the tank just above empty. When I mentioned it to the gate/checkout attendant he said he had listed it as such and I could return it empty. I did so and received a revised bill with a gas charge applied. I’ve applied for a refund but have to see that reversed. Brian

The car was filthy inside, scratched and dented in numerous places, the steering wheel shook at highway speed. The counter agent charged my card $1000 more than the quoted rate and claimed that he couldn't fix it. Absolutely refused to accept my proof of insurance. The manager took me to the parking garage to have the bill fixed and left before it was resolved - it wasn't. After 2 hours walking back and forth from the counter to the garage, I left with an email address for the manager to have the bill corrected. No response to email, the social media folks couldn't help with an open reservation, when I returned the car I was told that I had used the insurance, etc so they would not correct it. The agent was deceptive, the car was filthy and in need of repair, customer service is non existent. Beware of commission based swindlers.

We had several issues. They try to upswell you when you get there. They told us the car we had rented had only enough room for two bags. Online it said it fit 5 bags. Then they said for $400 more for 10 days we could get the car that fit our luggage. We refused and said we would keep our original premium rental. We went to garage and they gave us a tiny sports car for 5 people. We made it work to save the extra money but it was very uncomfortable. We will not rent there again.

We declined the insurance because we explained that we already had insurance through our visa. After ,36 hours of non sleep we did not read the fine print and trusted the integrity of the salesperson. Unfortunately she added the insurance and we were charged 279.92 for our 8 day rental. We feel we were taken advantage of by this person. Because if this we would not recommend this company to anyone and our review will not be favorable.

Pick up at the Orlando Airport was painful. There was an extremely long line with only one counter service employee processing customers. The counter agent was condescending, rude, relentless in trying to get customers to purchase additional items, and unpleasant with me and with all of the women I observed him interacting with in my wait. Compared to the rental experiences I’ve had in Europe and recently in Seattle; this felt like I’d gone back in time 20 years. I felt embarrassed for all the foreign tourists in-line thinking this is what our country is like.

The cars windshield wipes were so old they did not wipe the windshield. The car was incredibly old. No back up camera which I’m pretty sure is required in cars legally since 2018. They wanted to charge me $150 to extend the rental 3 hours that was only $40/day. I will never use them again
