Good experience, everything was handled efficiently and on time The shuttle was ready to pick up to and from airport. The car we got was very basic so at times it struggled to drive uphill but we made it.

The overall was experience was terrible. The price quoted for the rental was correct. They quoted me $16.88/ per day for insurance but charged me more than $70.00/ day. The contract is all in Spanish, so it is hard to determine what the charge is. I found out when I check my card statement. I immediately went to the office in Merida to resolve it but was told they (1) did not understand English well enough, and (2) they could not do anything about it. The car was high milage, the sides and rear of the car were scratched, the interior seating was badly stained and dirty. they said they had no better vehicle available. I will not do business with Payless ever again. I also question the value of using Kayak in the future. Note, I insure to two late model vehicles for about the same amount over 6 month period then they charged for 15 days. This should be a crime.

The price is very good but it takes a long time to deliver the car

We get there late due to flight cancellations it was snowing a lot in Nashville we were able to get a later flight to a different city but rep said it’s not there fault so they canceled my reservation and offered my a suv for 4 times more than what I booked it for I declined and he was like next “it’s not our problem” not a good look for carwhiz of FLL very sad

I should have been placed with a car rental agency for the same price at the airport. I was placed with an off airport car rental agency. CraWhiz did not answer when I needed a ride, I had to take a $27 Lyft ride just to get to the car rental agency. I had purchased Aliianz car rental insurance online and was told I wouldn't need to purchase any at the counter but CarWhiz didn't take Allianz and charged me $44 a day instead of Allianz at $42 total. They also stated to drive the vehicle on too roads they would charge $15 a day for a toll pas. This car rental agency is an absolute inconvenience and rip off. They also do not do digital inspections of their vehicles. My vehicle had two issues and I don't trust this company to not charge me for the damages that were already present due to how much extra it cost just to pick up the car.

I didn't end up renting from Carwiz. They're a complete fraud company looking to scam you and Rob you from your hardworking money. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, unless you have millions yo throw away and simply don't care. Horrible customer service as well. 0 stars from me.

Disorganized at pick up

Wait time to get car took a minute, but wasn't too bad. The return of the car is another story. I got charged a $600 damage cost for a scratch on the car that seemed to have been there already. Wasn't able to deliberate cost due to my flight. I can't recommend this car rental service for this reason.

Still got charged for a car I declined to use

Checkin was a disaster - car was dirty, had scratches that weren’t in the previous report. Then they switched us to another car, and the tank wasn’t even full, had to drive with them to the petrol station so they could fill it up. Checkout too was a disaster, they asked for more money than what was in the initial rental agreement because they had decided to upgrade us. The so called « manager » of the branch could not do anything about it (i don’t think we can say he is a manager if he can’t take any decisions to give decent service). We had to pay the increased amount and claim at a later stage via mail to customer service. Sixt doesn’t care about its customers and is providing the worst service i’ve ever seen. Run away.

Petrol is super expensive, so rental car experience in Europe needs to be analyzed carefully. When everything is taken into consideration if you can fly between cities, I know, major cities, fly, renting a car is super expensive plus you have to deal with thousands of cars during summer travel -I'm in Croatia- where Europeans are headed to the beaches and islands and you have to deal with some drivers who come within centimeters of your rear if you're in the highspeed lane going 100 MPH and in "their" way. We American drivers think we're supposed to drive in the left hand lane and the answer to that is a big NO, NEVER! Other factor in calculating costs are the toll roads, so it comes to a lot of cash to rent a car, but if you have no other choice, then be my guest.
