Congo Airways flights offer small, regional travel, and the airline is owned by the government of DRC. Congo Airways reservations will allow a standard size of luggage that is in line with most international airline carriers around the globe. You can check-in between one and 10 pieces of luggage that collectively weigh no more than 23kg, as well as one hand-held piece of luggage that has no weight restriction. This can be a laptop bag, rucksack or handbag. Wheelchairs and fold-up strollers can be accommodated either with check-in or in the cabin, at the discretion of the cabin crew.
Flights on Congo Airways will luckily allow small pets to fly in the cabin with their owners, under specialised supervision, on regional flights. You will need identification of the pet, and they will need to fit inside a small, waterproof cage at your feet. If you would like to take a service animal that is too large for a cage, they can accompany you with their identification papers stipulating inoculations and line of duty. They should be harnessed for the safety of their fellow passengers, and if possible, include their name and duty on the harness. You may have to muzzle the animal, depending on the size. Service animals are allowed to travel continentally and regionally. Check with the airline to see if your pet qualifies as a service animal, as some airlines only allow them for blind passengers.
