I recently traveled with Air Canada for the first time, and I must express my frustration with the service I received. Upon checking in, I was issued a boarding pass that did not have a seat number, which left me feeling confused and anxious. To make matters worse, the status of the seats indicated that they were fully occupied, leaving me unsure of what to do next. In a moment of desperation, I found a ticket and boarded the plane, but the entire experience was disheartening. Additionally, I noticed that the luggage took significantly longer to arrive at the baggage claim compared to other airlines, adding to my dissatisfaction. I believe that Air Canada needs to improve its quality of service, especially for first-time travelers. I urge the management to investigate this issue further by reviewing CCTV footage and speaking with staff to ensure that such experiences are not repeated. I hope my feedback helps enhance the travel experience for future passengers.

Very disappointing experience with Air Canada. The flight was delayed by two hours with no prior notification or clear explanation. This caused unnecessary stress and disrupted my plans. Better communication and respect for passengers’ time are definitely needed.

I did not like that I had to prove to the agent at the counter that I am allowed a checked bag. Also, I paid for a window seat and was not given that seat. This I realized after I went through TSA and at this point was not able to contest my seat request.

It was really difficult to tell Air Canada that I had a dietary requirement (the dietary preferences drop down menu is hidden somewhere separate from check-in/purchase and I wasn't able to find it), so I didn't have food for the 15 hours - they did not over cater specialty meals, and I was made to feel stupid for not having been able to figure this out. At least four other people on the flight were in a similar situation. Crew were somewhat helpful, but did not really seem to care. It would be very easy to move the dietary preferences to ticket purchase or check-in, or to offer one of the two meals (chicken/beef) as a vegetarian option (marinara pasta v. chicken) as the standard meals. Incredibly disappointed and irritated about this for a 14 hour flight. The USB and outlet at the seat didn't work.
