Prices were incredibly high due to COVID so we chose Hertz as the promised car was a Ford Fusion hybrid which we were excited about trying. When we arrived, we were given a Toyota Corolla which was a pretty small, bare-bones model for the extravagant amount we paid for four days.
It was difficult to get an employee to give me a paid receipt.
I’ve used Hertz plenty of times in the past for work and play, but this time around I noticed that they like to nickel and dime you for everything when you get your final bill. In the future I will use a different company.
Our flight had been delayed and we missed our connection. HERTZ was the only rental car place to offer a one way. They are convenient!
I reserved a Chevy Malibu or similar. Picked up the car and when I got to the checkout gate they said they car wasn’t in the system as ready for rent. It was cleaned and parked in pickup with the keys. They “upgraded” me to a Jeep Compass. Some Upgrade. 51k miles. Worst riding vehicle Would have preferred my Malibu. Checkout and drop off were otherwise good.
