The interior of the rental reeked of gasoline, which the Ocala Hertz tried to cover up with baking soda and by giving me the keys with the windows rolled down. I had serious headaches while driving for extended periods and believe it may affect my health. By the time I noticed the strong odor the location was already closed for the weekend. One of the tires needed air immediately after driving it and the FOB battery was so low it wouldn’t lock or unlock the doors at times.

The car I reserved they gave to a lady whom got there 5 minutes before me. Then they gave me another suv. They said low on gas.. It was empty. I got 15 mins down the road to find out the side mirrors did not work. Called them then they said it would be about 3 hrs for a tow. I had to drive a unsafe car back to Hertz. They then gave me a car (I resrved a SUV) I was going 1 way across Country. I hit South Dakota and went for the breaks. All the wires from under the dash had fallen out onto the breaks. My sandel was caught in the wires. I almost wrecked. The fee should have been 498. The final bill was over 1k. Never again...

The first car given to us was clearly not washed, I dealt with it on the outside- no problem. Inside it was filthy, called several times and got hung up on, told a story. They gave us a second car that was making a clanking noise. My husband finally went and told them we need another car. The third car finally was cleaned and detailed. Tried to return the car early because I no longer needed it, couldn’t. Drop was quick and painless - got asked if I wanted the receipt printed or emailed. We choose email and never got the email.

Went to pick up my car I rented, did not have one available for me along with a few other people that ended up being stranded. I spent over $70 in Uber so I could get to and from the hotel I was staying at. Not even an apology or a phone call to let me know that they didn’t have a car for me. Will never ever rent from hertz again

Did not have the 7 passenger car that I ordered and had a pickup time of noon, when got there at 12:30 they told me they close at 12:00 on Saturday, so I drove 50 minutes to get there and left with no car and had to use 2 cars to pickup people at the airport.I paid more to get a seven passenger specifically for that reason.Not a good experience!
