Pick up was a breeze as kiosk was at airport. No need to shuttle off to get car. Car was clean, comfortable.

Got bamboozled on the insurance. One tire had a super low tread and the light came on the first day. The sales guy said there was a gas station right as you drive into the airport but there wasn’t so we had to go search for one before our flight.
It was a great experience with Enterprise rent a car in Dublin Airport Ireland. Easy pickup and drop off. Malik was especially helpful. He told us where to go and the best way to get to departure. Overall the experience was excellent! We highly recommend it!

Trying to find out where to return a car in Dublin Airport is a nightmare - car hire in Ireland is excessively expensive
The car was good, the staff efficient. My big problem was that there was no insurance within the reservation and at the rental desk I had to pay 400 euros more (for just the car to insure, not the passengers, and for a higher price than usual). It was a very bad surprise as during the reservation online it was not clearly said that the reservation was without the insurance. I insure my personal car for less than 200 euros per year, how can an insurance for 6 days costs 400 euros with a 2000 euros franchise? I advice everybody to double check the insurance condition during the reservation!

A very clear warning that booking via Kayak on the American Website would reduce insurance rights as opposed to booking on apparently the same site in UK

I booked on your site for a 77 year old man and when we arrived, they refused to rent us a car. Luckily I myself had my driving license even though I didn't want to drive in Ireland. they also insisted we had to take their insurance as we couldn't opt out even though we were insured through our visa card.... Amazingly inefficient service on your part and not much better at Budget!

Very easy to collection and drop off. Would have liked to be able to drop off at the airport rather than use the shuttle as we had two small children with us.
I have rented a car and prepaid all taxes and service fees before travelling to Ireland with a fully paid and non refundable reservation number from Kayak. My husband was the driver of this vehicle and presented to the airport for pick up on August 19, 2023. He travels extensively for work and has a credit card that covers Collision Damages Waiver and Theft Protection. He explained this clearly to the agent Michael, who insisted that he would be required and it was MANDATORY (the words exactly used) to purchase these. He upsold him the Supercover insurance and told my husband that this is mandatory. I examined the contract when he returned and told me the nature of this conversation. Having lived and studied in Ireland myself for 5 years, I did my due diligence and inquired from other car rental agencies and examined the legislation within Ireland to determine the validity of these claims. My clear understanding is that Third Party Liability insurance is a legal requirement in the prepaid price of all car rentals in Ireland, protecting from property damage, injury and death. Fire insurance is also included in this prepaid price. If the CDW and TP is declined or that written proof is required and the customer declines this, a credit card authorization of a larger amount can be applied to the rental. These options were not presented and in fact, miscommunicated at the time of rental by your agent Michael. This should be investigated and the insurance reimbursed, or at the very least the supercollision insurance that was in fact, not required.

Car was technically "similar" to what we reserved (5 person + luggage) but actually much smaller with tiny little back windows so rear passengers couldnt see much. Also, crazy stupid requirements to waive insurance were not stated ahead of time.

Absolutely terrible. First they give you a nice price online. Once you get here the price goes up dramatically (more than 5 times in our case). Don't book here!

With rental rates so high since COVID was very pleasantly surprised to see rental rates moderating. The Dacia Duster was well sized and very reasonable on diesel fuel, a real bonus with the high fuel prices in Ireland.

I realized that my flight was getting in earlier than my car was rented for. I tried to take care of this ahead of time by switching the pick up and drop off times but spent hours trying to get in touch with someone that would do this. “Dollar” which ended up being hertz (to much confusion) said that because I had booked through a travel agency, they were the only ones that could make this change. So I tried to contact Qeeq, which took days because they don’t answer their phones and the chat tool is only operational sometimes. When I finally contacted them they said that I should work it out with the car rental company when I arrive. This was a costly mistake. They ended up charging me for a full extra day, even though it ended up being a very small period of time that I got the car early. I have learned my lesson and won’t be booking through qeeq or any other booking site other than the actual car rental company going forward. This was a disappointment on what should be a fun vacation experience. The actual car was great, the staff were friendly and the car rental company was on site at airport. Had I been able to work out this time abutment ahead of time it would’ve been a great experience. However qeeq doesn’t seem to be a company that wants to help customers and as a result I’m put off by booking through kayak again because of this experience
Did not have the car type that I booked. I had to go to the returns area to pick it up (extra time). They did not bother to inspect the car beforehand but meticulously inspected it after. Constantly looking for ways to charge me more - insurance, automatic upsells and, finally, charging for a wheel scratch that was already present.

The pick up at the airport was good, no issues. On the drop off the attendant "claimed" that the back passenger door was dented during our rental. However, we looked at photos taken when we picked up the car and the dent was already there. On pickup there was no prior damage report supplied. If we hadn't taken the full comprehensive insurance package, I am sure we would have been on the hook for the damage. I find this disturbing and felt accused of the damage when in fact I wasn't. Fortunately, no out of pocket expense for us but still concerning nonetheless. Otherwise, the car was perfect and everything else was good.

I was ripped off at the counter when I picked up the car. I even showed the agent that the europcoar website showed the insurance cost much less then the extortionary rate he quoted me of €45/ day. Je told me that was because of the very good deal I got on my rental so I had to pay a higher rate on insurance.

I was required to pay an extra charge for something that I was not informed of and no side is taking responsibility. Europcar said it was Expedia who charged it and Expedia said it was Europcar who charged it. So who is lying?

Scammers. At the car return they told us that there are newly created damages. However, we’ve never hit anything or got into an accident. When I wanted to do an inspection before driving away, the staff said no need to worry and that we didn’t have to check. Lesson learnt, always make videos and photos of the car before driving away at a rental.

I signed up well in advance and entered all the information, including declining insurance. My credit card company covers the insurance. Upon arrival, I was informed I needed a custom letter from my credit card company or had to pay +50% for insurance. It was early morning Ireland time and after several failed called to my United/Visa card, I was forced to pay the increased cost. When I declined coverage, the requirement for this letter should have become clear. When I mentioned this, the agent said that it was US Europcar, who runs the web site and took the reservation, not the Irish subsidiary….
Their pick-up and drop-off locations were almost impossible to find. They run a paperless system which, if you're not travelling with a smart-phone, is very unsettling.

Best value that we could find for renting a vehicle in Ireland. We ended up arriving 12hrs late but they still had a car waiting for us. No fuss declining the CDW with a confirmation of coverage letter from our credit card company (other firms we rented with in the past have tried to scare us into using their insurance). They did initially give us a vehicle that had the 'check engine' light on all the time, so we turned around shortly after leaving the rental compound and brought it back. Told us at first just to ignore it, but then agreed to swap it for an identical vehicle (Fiat Panda). Drove it for five weeks and no problems when dropping it off and shuttle to/from the airport was available promptly.

The rental was fine. My only negative was the car insurance they surprise on you at pick up. It was almost the price of the entire rental and we did not expect that at all. Much too big of a surprise and should be available to book online to avoid the last minute, very large fee!

I know car rental companies make most of their profit from selling insurance but easirent’s insurance more than doubled the cost of the rental. Seemed excessive. Also the pick up was slow. Other than that the car and staff were fine.
