Wonderful|Sept 2022

Great rental car experience for me, from pickup to dropoff. This is a great location because it’s right off the Metro North train station in Stamford and I-95; as convenient as it gets for people heading into and out of Manhattan. And the staff was friendly. I’d rented cars since the pandemic started and none of them were as spotless and perfectly clean like the car I got ro drive from Avis! Thank you for that, Avis!

older rental car, 43,000 miles, no cruise control, the smaller car I wanted wasnt available, agent was great pointed out allthe scratches and nicks hdmi port was very wonky

Woman behind the counter was nice. It sucked otherwise. I had reserved an SUV but there were only minivans left. One tire was low on air. Whatever, it all worked out but no fun.

Staff there was extremely rude. They didn’t have any cars available at all and barely accommodated us. We were told to just “call corporate” no point in booking a reservation if the car isn’t there when you arrive to pick it up.

Flight delayed my pickup by 2 hours. At 2 pm the office was closed and no one answered the phone number on the door. I never did get a car - had to Uber the whole weekend. Still awaiting a refund.

Hertz modified my reservation dates without informing me. Essentially I would have to return the car by Sat noon (Fri 6pm pickup) instead of Monday 6pm, so the entire trip (4h5 drive each way to VT) became pointless and I had to cancel. Worse, because of Memorial Day Weekend all other rental cars were sold out and I wasn't able to travel at all, and lost my downpayment of $272 for lodging.
