Very friendly and accommodating for our travel needs

The car smelt of stale smoke but was clean. On return, I askled if anything needed to be signed and I was told no. I was then surprised to find the paperwork with my name on it but not my signature.

The car I reserved was available and did not have any issues during the rental. Only thing that can be improved on is the call center. I had a question about picking up and what terminal to go to but I called 3 times and followed the prompts and couldn’t reach a real person.

I had to wait in line for 3 hours to get the keys of the car. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

I thought the rental car was at the airport, but it was at a car dealership 29 min away from the airport!!!! They also gave me an SUV instead of a midsize car that I reserved.

The rental wasn't in the terminal that we landed at and had to transfer to a different terminal to pick it up. After a long 9+ hour flight with children and luggage this wasnt ideal. The rental was not equipped with GPS/Satnav and as I was coming internationally my cell phone didn't work so this lead to some difficulties getting around initially. The employee was very friendly.

Reserved a car, settled for a pickup with 3/4 tank of gas, dirty windows and no cruise control. Told we would have to wait possibly a long time for a car. We already stood in line a hour. Not happy. Return at RSW went well.

1) at pick up Budget charged 12% more than quoted rate from priceline 2) car was not what I reserved as they ran out 3) car was not washed, had scratched and dents 4) problems created more unnecessary delays

Lady in the check out garage was extremely rude, the rest of the staff was very easy to work with.

Everything went perfect but they charged me insurance even when I told them I want the bare minimum rate without any add ons

Crowdstrike outage cancelled our flight so we were unable to pick up our car. Dollar refused to refund us. We’re very disappointed.

Line went pretty fast and the representative was very nice and helpful

We had several issues. They try to upswell you when you get there. They told us the car we had rented had only enough room for two bags. Online it said it fit 5 bags. Then they said for $400 more for 10 days we could get the car that fit our luggage. We refused and said we would keep our original premium rental. We went to garage and they gave us a tiny sports car for 5 people. We made it work to save the extra money but it was very uncomfortable. We will not rent there again.

Beware the insurance scam. Declined the coverage on kayak and they still added it back in at the rental counter. Had to fight with Thrifty to remove it.

My experience with Thrifty and Kayak was beyond disappointing. I booked a one way trip with a minivan from the Orlando airport as our family’s flight was canceled. After waiting in a long line, the agent (who refused to provide his name) told us that there were no more minivans available and that they only had four seat sedans. I reiterated that we booked a minivan because there were six members of our family. He said we could probably seat five in the sedan, but then became very rude and borderline hostile when I said that wouldn’t be possible because there were six of us. I asked if he could tell me the cost of a second vehicle and he said he couldn’t. Additionally, prior to arriving at the airport a family member had called both Kayak and Thrifty to confirm we’d be able to modify the drop off location from Boston to the Savannah airport and was told that was possible at the rental counter. When I asked the man at the rental counter he said that was not possible and that I had to modify this with Kayak. I, as well as family members tried calling Kayak multiple times from the counter and the calls were either dropped or we were told to use the website. When we went to the Kayak website to modify the drop off location, we all kept getting errors saying the reservation couldn’t be found. Needless to say, the experience was incredibly stressful, unfriendly, and inoperative for our family’s needs. I am still working on receiving a refund for the money I was charged for insuring the car I never rented. Our family spent nearly $1000 on an Uber to drive the 4 hours we needed the car rental for - a cost that should be reimbursed by Kayak. What an incredibly unacceptable experience trying to use Thrifty through Kayak - a family of six (including children) were left stranded with no options for a resolution.

I was scammed and overcharged by the pickup agent and ended up paying twice the rate expected. Certainly the worst experience in 30 years, without satisfactory response from customer service. I will never rent from Thrifty again
