|Sept 2023Was overcharged by over $100+ at unmanned drop off in Punta Gorda though I returned the vehicle early. Had to call Budget Customer Service twice in order to get it resolved.

|Sept 2023The car seemed over priced. The pick up and drop off was smooth.

|Aug 2023Terrible. They advertise online they have cars in stock just to call in the morning that they are canceling my reservation, leaving me stranded in Tampa

|Jun 2023My estimate was under $60 but final cost was $138

|May 2023I have really bad allergies, so I couldn't fully appreciate the condition of the car at pickup. Once my allergies cleared a bit, I realized that the car had a really bad odor to it. Smelled like someone had tried (and failed) to cover up cigarette (or similar) smell. When I picked up my travel companion, he arrived at the exact same conclusion before I even said anything. Second problem. The lady convinced me to spring for the toll package because the route I would be taking had tons of tolls. It actually had none. She lied to me and ripped me off. She must get a commission for the number of upgrades they sell at the counter, as she also aggressively tried to sell me their insurance, which is insanely expensive.

|May 2023I confirmed it would be around 88$ and budget has ended up charging me double the price for $165. And they never sent me confirmation that I dropped off the car

|Aug 2026The agency should have been in terminal as described not off site in industrial parking lot. A human at transaction counter should be present not a screen. We opted to go with a more reputable company.

|Dec 2024Their insurance was $24/day and wouldn't accept my own insurance without full coverage

|Jul 2023Pickup was done in the outside parking lot where it was 100 degrees Fahrenheit. They also charged and extra $2 per toll. Got a $55 bill for an hour drive (there and back). Criminal!

|Jul 2023I was allowed to book and pay for a one way rental out of state. Day before pick up I call to confirm rental and told that I cannot take car one way, its not possible or allowed. I had to fight to get my money back because offering a product, agreeing to a contract then saying its not allowed is fraud. I had to book with another company for 4 times the amount. no apologies or attempt to make it right

|Aug 2023First, the rental was not ready, we had to wait about an hour to get a car. Second, they overcharged for an extra day after we dropped off the car in time. Although the time they entered as starting time was not the time we left with the rental. They stamped the time at 11:47pm but didn’t get the car until pass 12:30 am. So we had to go the office to get the 2nd day charge removed. Third, they now said the is a crack in the windshield, after 48 hours that we return the car.

|Jul 2023Service desk and drop off were not helpful and really didn’t care about anything but selling you insurance when you pick up the vehicle. Also they didn’t have the vehicle I ordered and told me I would have to wait around 40 min to an hour and that was only if they could find one. The vehicle I got was nice but didn’t fit our stuff causing us to take two cars instead of one

|Apr 2023Pick up was horrendous,, total chaos waited over 2 hours to be told I’d get a vehicle but not what we hired , this happened to all people waiting.. We actually got a similar car to the one booked so we thought we were luckier than others . Car was filthy dirty no option to sort we had to leave it’s now 4 am , we hadn’t left car park and clearly the vehicle with 42,000 miles had multiple faults and should have been in for repairs not out on hire …

|Apr 2023Checkin took nearly an hour. There were 3 or 4 agents working and 4 guys standing around watching. Not sure why it takes so long, there were lots of cars in the lot. Granted that things were busy since the Ft Lauderdale airport was closed, but why does it have to be so slow?

|Mar 2023Pick up was extremely disorganized. The Tampa Airport staff needs additional training. But the cost of the rental itself was on the lower end, so that was a positive.

|Mar 2023We had booked a van online at Tampa international airport and when we got there we were told we didn’t but they said u must have been re-routed to a Avis agent half hour north of airport- this was terrible- then we were told we could not return it at Tampa and had to bring it back the agent or we would be charged - terrible - we should be partially compensated for out trouble Darren
