Buses from Liverpool to Glasgow run on a very regular schedule, most of them concentrated in the early morning, and there are around 10 each day, including on weekends (about 70 buses per week). The typical daily timetable follows a pattern of around seven buses in the early morning, to cater for the peak rush hour, with a single bus in the late morning, one in the late afternoon and one in the early evening. Buses from Liverpool to Glasgow depart from various stations. A few leave from Liverpool James Street Station, about 2min from the city centre on an Arriva Merseyside No. 10A or 18 bus. Liverpool Botanic Park Station is another, also known as Wavertree Botanic Gardens Station. This will take you about 19min to reach on the 79C bus. Edge Lane Station is another departure point for buses to Glasgow from Liverpool. You can get there on the No. 7 Arriva Merseyside bus in about 20min. Lastly, there are a couple of buses a day from University of Liverpool Station. It's virtually in the city centre, either a roughly 15min walk or an approximately 2min taxi ride. All Liverpool to Glasgow buses arrive at Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station; take the No. X10T bus to get to the city centre in about 3min.

National Express bus tickets from Liverpool to Glasgow offer individually air-conditioned seats, with USB charging points. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout your trip. If you have limited-mobility needs, trained staff travel on every bus to assist. You can bring a wheelchair on board as long as you give a few days’ notice. FlixBus seats offer extra legroom and adjustable headsets. Wheelchairs are welcome, too. If you travel with Megabus, you can book the seat you prefer – those with extra legroom cost a little more. There is space for a single wheelchair on every bus, so the sooner in advance you book, the easier it will be to find a trip with this space available.

On Megabus, you can bring up to 44 lb of hold luggage, as long as the combined dimensions don’t exceed 79 inches. You can also bring one piece of hand luggage. Flixbus only allows one item of luggage in the hold, once again weighing no more than 44 lb, with a size limit of 31x20x12 inches. You can also take a single carry-on item, weighing no more than 15 lb. Travelling on National Express, you’re allowed either one hold luggage item up to 12.5x20x29.5 inches and about 44 lb, or two smaller items no larger than 12x18x28 inches each, with the same total weight limit.
