Customer service was Good and helpful that’s for sure. The Car alarm system shut the car off on Saturday at 10 am and we didn’t get a replacement till Sunday around noon or after. Apparently some system malfunction from satellite security. They accommodated by taking two days off from car rental and allowed me to return gas at half a tank. However, it did effect our vacation plans for those two days as I had to make other arrangements to travel. Luckily for me I was able to leave the vehicle in a safe spot and move the car into an area that it didn’t affect the home owners. It affected my Family Plans and Traveling trips for those Days. I didn’t want to complain to that specific dealer as I knew they couldn’t do much else for me. However I expect AVIS or Kayak to do right by making this right.

I did not get the car. After paying for it online, when I tried to pick it up, they wanted an additional $700+ US dollars! Outrageous. No where on my paperwork it it say I would be required to pay additional insurance upon pick up. I have rented in Mexico numerous times and have never been charged so much. Now im out my initial purchase.

I got totally swindled. I paid 27 up front for the car through kayak, when I got there I HAD to pay another 200 dollars for “mandatory insurance” and leave a 1500 dollar hold on my credit card as a deposit. The car was mostly kind of messed up, bolts fell off the license plates so they were dangling, the interior wasn’t very clean, and I just got a sense they were trying to steal money from me the whole time. Never again

When I arrived at the Tulum Airport, there was another 600$ USD to pay for assurance and another 2500$ USD of deposit. I reserved a SUV and they gave me a little car cause the SUV was already rented and there was no more in the parking. I'm really not satisfied and it was the las time I rent a car here.

The pick up was bad. The gentleman wasn’t there on the premises. We called and he said he would be there in 5 minutes. He took almost an hour to arrive and the temperature outside his office was extremely hot. We kept calling and he just lied his way till he arrived with a beat up Nissan xtrail when I had requested a vw suv according to the reservation. Car had dents and front bumper was loose. I wasn’t very convinced since I was returning car to another location. The drop off was nice and friendly tho. They didn’t give me the issues I was dreading of having returning the car in bad shape. Overall I would rather stick to a better rental company than this one next time I travel to Cabo.

Cars are very dirty, dented, cracked head and tail lights. Tires are as bald as can be. One of the cars we were offered had zip ties holding the hub cap to the rim. We ended up canceling since all the cars available were in poor condition unsafe to drive. We felt if we took one of the offered cars it would brake down, cause an accident to ourselves or others. Poor unsafe condition. Cancelled on the spot never took possession of any car at the lot. Unsafe vehicles , Budget should be ashamed of the vehicles it offers as rentals at this location.

The agent misrepresented what we had booked and included unnecessary charges that we did not understand because they were in pesos. As a result , we paid almost double the amount of our reservarion. We got scammed.

Our flight was delayed in landing and by the time we made it to the check in desk at hertz our car was no longer held. I was informed that the policy was for hertz to hold it only 60 minutes after the my check in time. We had 6 passenger so we need at least that many seat belt. A vehicle was eventually found for us but not until I was up sold over $600 at the counter. I’m not sure why we bothered to hav a reservation to only be gauged and delayed. Thankfully our 3 year old’s iPad’s battery didn’t die.

Terrible experience. They did not have the car we had booked for our reservation. I had originally booked a standard SUV for 300 American dollars. They only had a Jeep and a compact car, we definitely would had not fit our 4 ppl and all our luggage in the compact car. Asked for the price of the Jeep and they were trying to charge us 1700 American dollars. I know it’s never the price they actually quote you for but come on now, that’s more that 5 times what we were quoted for the SUV. What a joke! Did not give them our business and definitely never will when we go back.

The car rental process and vehicle were fine. It took over 2 hours to return the car. Understaffed location and lengthy process for a location serving 4 separate companies.
The car was very good and the employee very helpful, but they did not accept my debit card in full terms. Because of that i had to add a very expensive insurance which was annoying.

You should advertise how much is the amount you freeze on people’s credit card in order to trick/scam them into either take YOUR insurance or to keep the rental payment incase we don’t want to stay with your rental service due to the lack of information provided ahead. I mean we know that’s your tactic but it very sneaky and unprofessional and nope not recommending your company. How is it normal that if we take the insurance through Kayak you still force people to give a credit card deposit of 13k USD , wth is that. And kayak too should let their customers know what to expect once at destination. Definitely not going through you next time and will go to the others who are more straight forward.

Upon arrival at Eurocar, I was subjected to aggressive sales tactics, pressuring me into purchasing an unnecessary protection plan priced at $500. Despite my knowledge of Mexico's insurance requirements, Eurocar staff persisted, eventually lowering the cost to $300. This deceptive behavior is deeply concerning and tarnishes my perception of your service. I demand a cancellation of my reservation and a full refund. I expect swift action to address this issue and prevent its recurrence.

Horrible. They tried to charged $1100 in insurance on top of the price. I’m still waiting on my refund.
The pick-up and drop-off process felt never-ending. During the pick-up, I asked for a later drop-off (+2 hours), because I already knew I wouldn’t be able to return the car on time. I was told it was fine and that I could come later. However, when I returned the car just one hour late, they still charged me for an extra day. On top of that, they had the wrong address in their reservation system and even in Google Maps, so I spent about an hour trying to find the branch before the pick-up.

Horrible experience!!!! The local Thrifty office would not honor the reservation as they told me they didn't have cars. However, I was told that if I booked directly now, they had cars available but the price was 3x the price for the same car! Total scam.
