I reserved an SUV. I received a compact. There was a blizzard.
We’ll sadly, when we checked in, I had a hard time understanding the girl who helped us. Between the mask, plexiglass screen and her accent, it was tough. The car? I realize I picked a compact but this car was sad. I didn’t realize that the American auto makers made such a cheap car. Poor riding, tiny and under powered. I certainly didn’t feel safe in this car (Chevy Spark). You get what you pay for tho, I guess. There was no one there when we came back to drop off the car, but I guess that wasn’t such a big deal. The car rental rate was never clear. If I paid what the girl at the front desk tried to advise, it was a good rate…..but a crappy car.
No car when we got there. Hour and a half wait or forced to take more expensive vehicle
Not only were the cars not ready, you couldn't understand the agents. There were 20 or so of us picking up cars and we all had to wait longer for cars of any sort. I know masks are still required but if the agents don't speak clearly, situation becomes much worse. Not to mention, they were understaffed.
