My husband and I paid for a rental in advance via wisecars but he lost his wallet on the trip out. So when we got there we try to rent the car using my license. They said this could not be done and we needed to contact the helpdesk at wisecars. This seemed ridiculous in that rental companies always include spouses on the rental. Nevertheless we tried to contact wisecars but it was not possible either via online platform or by telephone. We tried for an hour and a half. Eventually we had to rent another car at a different place at a much higher day-of rate and have not heard back from wisecars. This admin glitch cost us a thousand dollars for no reason whatsoever.
