Hertz accused me of crashing their car. I drove the car a total of three times and parked in safe places. The car was in exactly the same condition when I dropped it off. Hertz sent me an email later after dropping it off claiming that I had been in an accident and asked me to admit to the fact. I refused, and now they have started legal proceedings. I even bought the Hertz recommended collision coverage, which they claim I now have to go through an insurance company to deal with. What a joke.
The car was in poor shape. The heating controls were stuck
Waited an hour for them to get cars cleaned and ready to go on a Saturday afternoon.
Very long lines at pick up (staff shortages) and due to flight being delayed due to storm Elsa initially told no car - although Hertz customer service told us our booking would be honored. Also gold member status not honored as did not book direct.
