Car hire at Anchorage Airport

Disappointed in Avis company. Arrived to Avis to pick up the car. Representative stated no cars available due to the Seattle Sea Hawks Monday Night Game!!! Therefore, No car was picked up. Very dissatisfied

The car was overpriced considering the amount of cars in the garage. Also, I listed a simple 12:00 PM as my pickup time. I never had this problem before but was told I was very late and my car wasn't available. They then had a convenient half off for an upgrade. If the car had been smaller it would not had been what I intended anyways. Next time I'll stick with Enterprise.

before our rental I edited the reservation to change the driver from me to my husband. it said it would change the reservation number, instead it cancelled our reservation! we didnt find that out until the day of the reservation.

Searched for 6 months and found this to be the best price in Anchorage. Reserved a sedan, but was upgraded to VW Tiguan at no extra charge. No difficulties with pickup or return. Not a Budget issue, but ANC should have more luggage carts available.

Budget pulled a bait and switch. I reserved a car in January 2022 for our June 2022 vacation. I received a confirmation. I was able to obtain a very good rate because I reserved it ahead of time. However when I called two days before our trip to reconfirm my reservation I was told that the reservation had been canceled. They claim that I canceled it, which I never did . Further there was no cancellation email ever received by me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they transferred me to three or four different employees who either transferred me to someone else or hung up on me. When I finally was able to speak to someone they said they couldn’t help me, the reservation had been canceled and there’s nothing they can do. BUT, they said that they had the same car available that I had originally reserved and would be happy to rent it to me for THREE TIMES the original quoted price. Budget is a scam! I will never rent from them again. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Our car was ready at arrival and everyone was so friendly and helpful…start to finish!

Didn’t get what we ordered. Waited two hours to change to something we didn’t ordered. When drop off the cat the rental record were totally wrong with other renters name and credit card. Took a long time to fix that and still got charged more than what we agreed to at the end. Need to talk to someone when get back home to take care of this.

We got a free upgrade. Pick up and drop off was very convenient.

Check-in took a while, but everything else was great.

Everything was as promised.

Clean the car before renting it, stuff in cup holders from and back, soda can in trunk, food prints on front seat, foot marks on dash are several places, inside of driving window film so bad had a hard time seeing out of it. Very disappointed when my riders said there are half full cups back here. Front seat rider asked for a wet rag to wipe down the seat and dash area.

The agent that we worked with at the desk was friendly and did upsell us from a Chevy Spark to an VW Atlas SUV and did let us know that there would be a $60 price difference per day. We accepted that and accepted his initial final charge. He did NOT tell us the check out process with the car upon leaving the airport and no one was working at the booth for check out when we were leaving and we already were running late because the process took longer than it should have. The tank was only half full when we got the car and the car did not have America USB chargers for our phones (only micro USB). Again, had we known this, we would have not taken that car but again...there was no one working the booth and we had to be to our next appointment. Upon returning the car, the woman checking us is was not friendly or accommodating. Then, when we asked her for a copy of the checkout report after she told us "everything looks good, you are free to go" she let us know that someone would email us a copy along with a receipt. Well, we have not received a check in report or an itemized receipt and we were charged way more than we were had initially been told. We were already being price gouged for a three day car rental and now we have additional charges that we were not expecting. The whole process added stress to our trip and now is causing a massive headache after the fact.
