I liked finally arriving at Johannesburg! We kept getting time changes later and later to Nairobi from Kilimanjaro. So our group leader went in the day before to see if it was going to be possible to get the flight to Nairobi connecting to Jburg. She was assured that we would be able to make it since both flights were KA. When we arrived at the terminal there was another 15-30 min delay. However, arriving at Nairobi we ran to gate 15 and found out that the flight had left 6 minutes earlier than we expected. It was 1 1/2 hours to get our transit visas, we waited another for a shuttle to the hotel which was another 45 min, getting us there at 1am and we were told we had to meet the shuttle back to the airport at 4am! Maybe cots at the airport would serve better..

Flight delayed fror 3 and a half hours from Johannesburg to Nairobi. Which would cause missed connection stranding us in Nairobi. No info received from Kenya air. Went to checkin counter and sent to reservation desk. Half hour wait. Offered to rebook original flight in three days. They reluctantly rebooked on Swiss air for the following day. All told, 30 hour delay. Asked for itinerary printed- “we don’t have a printer” Emai) which were never received. Swiss air was great! No apologies, no “sorry” no empathy.
