Somehow ,reservation was at a downtown hotel NOT at the airport. This should not be possible when using KAyak for rental. Hertz staff , who I hear get this issue everyday, where less that helpful

I reserved a car, paid for the insurance and ubered from our hotel to the Hertz place. There was one person working and she said they had no cars. So i had to pay for an uber back to our hotel. 32.00 round trip and no rental after the online app through kayak saying I had a car reserved and ready. Just a terribly frustrating experience. I dont have good feelings for this process and I wish i know what I could have done differently to avoid what happened.

When we booked this on Kayak we thought we were booking for Hertz at the McCarron Airport Rental Center in Vegas. It was not. The Hertz counter at the airport rental place was marginally helpful, said yeah this happens a lot, and reluctantly provided us with some guidance. Said it was not their reservation so they could not do a thing to help us or get us a car. Said they had none to rent, period end of discussion. Said to call the other location which they knew was closed or the Hertz 1-800 number. Also not helpful, as I called but I could never speak to anyone just an endless computer prompt. Ended up renting from another car rental company. Be very careful when booking on Kayak. I'm sure it would have been fine had the original mistake not been made, but given that I am apparently not the first to make that mistake, I blame Kayak for that.

I honestly loved everything. Picking up the car was super easy and the woman who assisted us allowed us to change our drop off time. I absolutely LOVED how there's a drop box for keys if you want to drop the car off during after-hours. That made our schedule a lot easier since we had an early-morning flight. The car was clean, smelled good, and maintained well. I also loved how there was unlimited miles as long as you fill up the tank before drop off. 11/10 would recommend to anyone seeking to rent a car!

So, the representative was really nice and hard working. There was a long line. Avetis over works this poor man. I waited more than 1 hour and he was working so hard to clean the cars, inspect the cars, help people pick up the vehicles, and help people drop off the vehicles. After waiting on In a line, they were no cars for me. How this works is that they except your reservation, and it is on the first base first come first serve basis

At completion of the rental, I received a pop-up stating I would be contacted when a vehicle became available. I never received any confirmation from them. My attempts to call were met with either a full voicemail or a redirect to the hotel. They left me a voicemail day of the rental to tell me that they go to lunch at noon so they need me to come before then. I had long made other arrangements by then. I will not be using them or this site for rental cars again.

The car was not cleaned per covid protocols. It was not washed and inside had dust on surfaces which leads me to believe high touch surfaces not done.
