You still have over charged me $160. I spent more than 2.5 hours trying to rectify this all the way up to management, and even after signing a 1 way contract from STL to SPI somehow you (AVIS) put in DFW and added an extra day even thought the car was used for a total of 10 hours from pick up to drop off to the location I contracted for...not DFW. I will seek remedies through the Attorney Generals offices of both states. I believe you regularly fraudulently over charge clients in similar manners and then exasperate and wear them down transfering them numerous times to bogus other transfers and finally making them give up. Disgusting and not without consequences and accountability. Quoted and signed for total charges of $144 and then charged $920 for a 10 hour rental!!!!!!!!! Also talked down to repeatedly like an idiot... How is this for a review? Imagine if this happened to you or someone you care about. SHAME ON AVIS! Absolute Fraud!

I was never able to get my car. I’m hoping I don’t get charged for a car I never picked up. Even though the pick up was supposed to be at the airport, my car was not there. I had to make a whole different reservation.
They charged me extra. Changed the price. Said those are independent seller when you come to airport and location we charge according to our airport prices. Also it took hr to get the vehicle.

Car was not cleaned before I picked it up. McDonald's bag with rotting food in back floor. Candy wrappers, empty pop bottles, some aerosol can under seats, floors obviously not vacumed. PLUS they charged me almost $20 more than reservation made on line.

Didn't get the car until an hour and a half after the reservation time. The car was only half full (didn't notice until after I had left and at that time of night I was not going back). The car battery died while we were in a funeral procession, blocking the activities until I got it jumped. The passenger windows did not work. I returned it full tank as arranged and was only offered $20. Shabby outfit, never again.

Extremely slow service. Took over an hour to pick up the car. When we finally picked up the car, it had empty water bottles in the back, pop tart packages in the center console and papers in the side door.
All in all, we were impressed with the front desk service we received from Hertz. I am not as impressed with the telephone CS we received. We made the mistake of assuming that Hertz, like the other three car rental agencies we've dealt with, wouldn't charge for additional drivers. And I feel like this should have been plainer up front. When I learned that joining Hertz Gold-Plus Rewards would have saved us that fee, I enrolled in it and then attempted to add the existing rental to the membership. But it didn't work. I then reached out via phone to see if there as a workaround. There was not, according to the CSA I spoke with and I was stuck with what I had. However, when we went to the agency to pick up the car, and I set about adding my husband to the contract, the customer service agent there, happily added the rental to the membership and we were able to rent that car without further fees. Also, for the first time ever, we damaged a rental car. It was relatively minor (damaged bumper), but because we'd added the Loss-Damage-Waver, we weren't on the hook for any of the repairs. This was a huge relief. The vehicle was great--very comfortable and met our needs beautifully. Very satisfied with this.

The Altima rode smooth but getting in and out was too low I would have preferred a car that wasn't a low rider. Customer service was ok but when we were sent to find our car in the lot, there wasn't anyone to greet us to find our car and explain that we could pick any car in a certain area. We just didn't know how their system worked, so I had to go and find someone to help us and then she explained the process.

The service was so fast in St. Louis. They put other branches to shame. I travel weekly and I’ve never been dealt with as fast. The manager’s special deal was super cheap compared to usual prices. Great rental.

The young man was nice but the person who helped me book the car wasn't clear on the details of the rental..I booked it a month ahead and ended up not getting the car or a ride home.It was terrible.. embarrassed and unprofessional information coming straight from corporate office you would think that they would explain the FACTS but I ended up wasting my time and energy sad situation all I received was..I DON'T KNOW.I DON'T KNOW..
Could have been told upfront about not accepting debit card without airline traveling. Big waste of my time.

The seats of the Nissan Altima were very comfortable since we had to sit in them for over 26 hours during a 35 hour period. We also were held up by traffic on our trip for many hours which meant our return time was going to be later than expected. Upon calling Alamo (Tiffany assisted me), it was taken care of quickly with no extra charge since it was still within the 2 day period for the rental. Lastly, the gas mileage was very good and better than what I was expecting for a large car.
When we arrived there were two clerks who moved slower than molasses on a January morning. The gentleman at the Budget counter was argumentative and rude. The lady was a bit more with it but disinterested in helping very much. We were in St. Louis because my partner was dying, my son and I needed to get there as soon as possible. We reached out to the online provider, and they were very helpful. I am so glad they were able to assist us in changing the reservation and obtaining the rental vehicle. I will not use Dollar services again.

Confusing at first as it was serviced by the same people running hertz. We were waiting in the Dollar lane but no one would serve us or tell us we had to line up at hertz even through the front counter staff could clearly see us standing there. The first car we got was not great. The brakes needed to be serviced but we were lucky enough to be helped by the Springfield airport branch who gave us a new car (although it was a bit of a process- no fault of theirs)

I was over charged when my husband drove the car not happy about that
The Enterprise location was fairly close to home. Staff was great, pickup and dropoff were fast and easy. I was expecting to rent a Nissan Rogue, but instead got a VW Taos which was in my opinion a downgrade. The car was sluggish in acceleration and the trunk didn't lock.

we spent all day going all over kansas city looking for a car that ended up being already rented. Was very frustrating and irritating. And in the end they made us feel like it was our fault. Never again will i try to rent from them.

The Enterprise Airport office in St Louis saved the day! And I am grateful. Listened carefully, got me the car I needed (though it was "smoky" for my drive across Missouri, and overall I was satisfied. Keep the smokers away from your cars!!
declined all extra coverages, but attendant reinserted it anyway (avis counter on behalf of payless). Car was great, but untrustworthy counter people so beware.

I filled the tank 5 miles out from the airport until the needle was way past full. Hertz charged me a $20 fee to "top off the tank". Said I needed to send a gas station receipt if I wanted to contest it but all I have is a line item on a credit card statement.

I was given an upgrade since what I had rented was not available like it should have been. I was very pleased with my rental and the ease of retrieving the vehicle. The return of the vehicle was a little different due to a new parking lot being built, which I totally understand the small inconvenience. This was my first time to rent from Palos and I’m very pleased with experience. I will definitely rent from them again!!
