The day before my planned vacation they called and left a message that they cancelled my reservation because they had no minivans available. And then wishes me a good day. I had reserved the car four months earlier. There was no remorse, no we are sorry, no offer for an alternative. The last time I try to rent from hertz.

**Important to note this location is about a 10 min drive from the airport. ** But it was one of the best experiences I've had renting a car thanks to Semir. He had the car ready for me, had taken photos of the car and emailed them to me (saving me time), and was super friendly. Great experience!

The car was dirty (but the manager was nice and gave me a credit). Also the headrests on the front seats were on backwards! Never seen that before! So I swapped them around. The Nissan Rogue was a great car to drive though, once I got past those issues. And the employees at Thrifty were great.

When I picked up the car the cost was almost 2X what the online quote was. I checked the email confirmation and it matched the cost at the counter, shame on me for not reading the email. Feels like bait and switch but the cost matched the emailed confirmation.

Reserved a 12-passenger van for 7 weeks. Avis will only give you a rental agreement for 30 days. I was told they would automatically email a new rental agreement for the remaining time. That didn’t happen. It took COUNTLESS phone calls, two visits back to the pickup location to get the updated agreement. Avis customer service in a word, sucks. Twice the agents hung up on me. I was transferred around so many times my head was spinning. Oh, I almost forgot about the certified letter demanding that I return a vehicle that wasn’t due back. I will not use Avis again, which is too bad — they used to be a decent rental car company to do business with.

OUR FLIGHT WAS LATE GETTING INTO PHX AND WE HAD TO BE DIRECTED THROUGH WASHINGTON, DC TO OUR DESTINATION MHT. WE CALLED AVIS AND THAT WE WOULD BE GETTING IN AFTER 11 PM./ THEY ASSURED US THAT SOMEONE WOULD BE ABLE TO ASSIST US TO PICK UP OUR VEHICLE. WHEN WE ARRIVED NO ONE WAS THERE,SO WE HAD TO GO TO HERTZ TO RENT ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES. I CALLED THE NEXT DAY TO CANCEL THE AVIS VEHICLE. HOPEFULLY, YOU'LL CONTACT THEM AND LET THEM KNOW THAT IT ISN'T GOOD POLICY TO GO BACK ON THEIR WORD.

Everything was perfect except for the check-in, There was a long line and only one person at the counter. We waited for more than 20 minutes to pick up the car. The agent was quite nice, however, The car was excellent.

I had a personal issue and could not make the trip. I tried to cancel but NO Cancelations accepted I re-booked my trip on June 6 but will never use your service again. Dollar rent a car was not helpful they could have changed the dates to the new date but did not VERY DISAPOINTED

The last few years renting a car has been unpleasant. Manchester Dollar rental was a refreshing experience- probably driven by its small scale. Staff was friendly, car immediately available, much nicer and bigger model than we booked online. We’ll be back, thanks.
