No explanation provided for the additional charges that were automatically added to the rental agreement ,which were not required. I was simply asked to sign a lengthy document without chance to read it. A further £501.26 as been debited from my credit card without any explanation/ final invoice showing what the charges relate to. If you are able to provide a contact email address for budget at Miami airport this would be appreciated.

The pick up process at Budget MIA was poor. The counter agent was friendly but insisted that their policy was to charge for a full tank of gas. I’ve never seen this before; it’s also untrue. The return counter in another city had to take the time to correct it as I was unable to decline the full tank of gas at MIA. Picking up the vehicle in the garage was also poor. No in-category vehicles available. They kept offering the line of people pick up trucks and finally I accepted a Camaro. My suitcase rode in the back seat the entire trip. Also the staff would not provide information about paying for tolls on your own. I have a SunPass pro and an EZ Pass but they only talked about using their toll pass. I’ve never had this issue with other locations, the information isn’t exactly difficult to find. Overall would not use Budget at MIA again. My pick up process took just shy of 1 hour.

We go there to rent a convertible. Previously we have booked the car throw their own website. And they give us the confirmation. When we arrive at the office they didn’t have any convertible available.

Booked through Kayak and was told they didn’t have a car for us bc it’s a 3rd party site and therefore they have no obligation to fulfill reservations. Had to take an Uber back to airport to try another location. I booked directly on Budget website and waited 60 mins in line only to be told they wouldnt honor reservations made less than 24 hours in advance- even though I called to confirm TWICE that a car would be there. So $60 in Uber fees, 4.5 hours of waiting, horrible attitude by staff and NO CAR. Horrible experience and won’t rent at Budget or through Kayak again.

Paid for a specific class of vehicle (hybrid) and checked in, provided all information and was ready to pay when I was informed they only had a Nissan Sentra left. Obviously I know car rental companies don’t guarantee you’ll get the exact vehicle but if I booked for a hybrid that’s what I needed and I expected a hybrid vehicle of some kind. Waste of time and glad I didn’t pay ahead. They also asked for my insurance card and wanted to charged me an additional $90 for coverage which they stated was not optional. I’ve never been asked to show my insurance card when renting a vehicle before and typically additional coverage is optional.

We will never use Advantage again. We waited in line for two hours to pick up the car due to computer issues and slow agents. When we finally got the car, it had a musty smell. Rather than dealing with another wait time, we decided to buy Febreze to rid the car of the smell. After repeated applications, that worked. The windows were dirty. There was no windshield wiper fluid. Definitely not worth the savings. Stick to the major brands.

Pickup was pretty rough. There was one staff member, and a heck of a line. They are busy trying to upsell the rental itself, and then all of the add on options. The process takes entirely too long. Otherwise, I got a Nissan Altima for the Toyota Camry class (they are not the same), but I was so over it by the time I got my car, I was just happy to be on my way. From landing to driving out of the garage was a solid 2 hours.
